At Memorial Health System, we’ve found that providing great patient care starts with providing a supportive, positive team environment, and our Behavioral Health Team provides just that. As a Recovery Specialist at Memorial, you’d be working with a team that not only supports you but also provides opportunities for learning and professional growth. As a teaching hospital affiliated with Southern Illinois University, these aspects are built into our nature.
With a solid foundation, you’re prepared to provide the highest level of care to patients. In Memorial’s fast paced environment, team members need to remain flexible, calm and organized throughout the day and exercise strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize with a high level of professionalism.
As a Behavioral Health Consultant on Memorial’s team, you would meet with patients for one hour appointments for initial assessments and follow-up appointments for 30 minutes. Within the first six months the BHC will be expected to exhibit a strong understanding of the evidence based model through the review of progress notes, assessments and provider communication. In this position, you will work with a variety of patients, providing exceptional growth opportunities.
