The Postdoctoral Fellow will conduct scientific experiments under the guidance of the principal investigator. Will offer good judgement in the design of experiments and analysis of experimental data.
The individual in this position is responsible for taking care of individual projects. Investigating the role of ion channels in neurological disorders. Must be able to work independently or as a team member.
Expected to publish one manuscript per year.
May assist in supervising Research Assistant, Summer Students and/or Volunteers
Education: PhD degree. Degree must be from a regionally accredited
Candidate must have experience with cell culture, gene transfection, biochemical and molecular biological techniques. Experience with electrophysiological recordings in cultured neurons or brain slices is a plus.
Experience with manuscript writing.
