BHcare, a state-licensed, nonprofit behavioral health care provider serving the Lower Naugatuck Valley, Greater New Haven, and Shoreline communities, seeks a Part-Time or Full-TimePsychiatrist. Opportunities are available at Branford and/or Ansonia service locations. We are seeking a Psychiatric Physician who enjoys collaborating with other medical providers and clinicians on client care and to improve performance standards.
The Psychiatrist will provide psychiatric assessment, medication management for BHcare clients.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Providing initial bio-psychosocial evaluations and ongoing medication management
Work with interdisciplinary team members to promote and provide exceptional service and performance standards
Direct treatment plans, APRN initial evaluations, clinician psychiatric evaluations and home care nursing orders
Graduate degree from an accredited College or University School of Medicine. Board-eligible or Board-certified in psychiatry.
Board Certified in Addictions or Addiction experience or training preferred
Experience with Suboxone including in residency/internship is highly preferred
Ability to obtain and/or maintain a Drug Addiction Treatment Act of 2000 (Suboxone) waiver (DATA 2000 waiver) preferred
