USC Student Counseling Services (https://engemannshc.usc.edu/counseling/) seeks an experienced social worker or psychologist to join a diverse and dynamic multidisciplinary team who are strongly committed to providing excellent clinical treatment, training, and outreach services regarding mental health and wellness. We are seeking candidates who have strong clinical skills, are familiar with the duties associated with a university counseling center, and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, collegial, professional environment.
USC Student Counseling Services provides mental health services to students so that they may achieve their academic and personal goals. Services we provide include: individual, couples and group counseling; assessment and referral to other professionals and institutions; crisis intervention (including some after hours coverage); biofeedback; psychiatric evaluations and medication follow-up; consultation; outreach and prevention; and training and supervision.

This is a faculty position in the Division of Student Mental Health in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the Keck School of Medicine of USC. 1. Master’s degree in Social Work or Doctorate in Counseling/Clinical Psychology
2. Licensed in the state of California
3. Prior university counseling center experience
4. Multicultural competency in working with students of color, students from all economic classes, first generation students, LGBTQ students, and international students
1. Work experience in college counseling centers
2. Three years of experience in a university counseling center
3 Excellent diagnostic and crisis intervention skills and experience
4. Commitment to the highest ethical standards of professional practice and to professional integrity
5. Demonstrated knowledge, experience, and skills in short term individual psychotherapy, group process work, and training
6. Resilient and can thrive in a fast paced, demanding environment
7. Desire to continue to grow as a professional and committed to excellence
8. Expertise and experience with LGBT populations; men’s issues; international students’ substance abuse; and wellness.
9. Foreign language skills are welcome.
