VanderbiltUniversity Medical Center Executive Search Team is conducting a national searchfor a Senior Director of Behavioral Health Services to provide strategic onsiteleadership for our affiliate, West Tennessee Healthcare headquartered inJackson, TN.We are seeking a strong and motivatedindividual with leadership and business experience to provide overall strategicleadership.This role has bothadministrative and operational responsibility for Pathways Behavioral HealthServices including a 25-bed inpatient psychiatric facility, a 12-bed crisisstabilization unit, three peer support centers, and six outpatient clinics.This leader will partner with a VanderbiltBehavioral Health Clinical Advisory Team and Director of Clinical Education andProfessional Development to support West Tenneessee Healthcare initiatives tomeet the behavioral health needs of this region. This position will be a VUMC employee workingonsite at West Tennessee Healthcare in Jackson and supported by seniorleadership at both VUMC and West Tennessee Healthcare.

Develops, directs, implements, and evaluates behavioral health programs in a manner consistent with Medical Center's commitment to continuous improvement in the quality of patient care and consistent with appropriate budgetary parameters.
Supports the provision of patient and family centered care.
Reviews standards, policies, and procedures with the leadership staff and monitors implementation to assure the maintenance to improving the quality of service and care provided.
Establishes positive working relationships with key physicians, leaders and staff across the organization.
Facilitates open and constructive communication across all departments.
Integrates hospital administration with clinic administration other hospital departments and disciplines of the medical center in an effort to create an atmosphere of cooperation and coordination among the medical center's administrative leadership.
Assures that all appropriate licensure and accreditation standards are met in areas of responsibility.
Develops and supports staff personal and professional growth.
Provides leadership by modeling elevate principles and by setting expectations for leaders to develop in their roles.
Monitors performance against service standards.
Communicates goals and objectives effectively to all department leaders in the organization.
Provides ongoing measurement and documentation of goal achievement.
Utilizes customer satisfaction, best practice data and market information to improve customer service and satisfaction. Utilizes all tools provided by the elevate process to enhance customer service.
Provides leadership to management staff in the development of annual budgets.
