The Institute of Medical Psychologie of the Otto-v.-Guericke Universität Magdeburg is seeking candidates for a full-time position in
Research associate neuropsychology / cognitive neuroscience
to direct research on brain plasticity and rehabilitation/psychotherapy and teaching medical students in the German language. As a group leader you will supervise two technician and currently three doctoral students.
We are an interdisciplinary and international team of psychologists, biologists and software engineers working in an exciting field of neuroscience aimed at treating blindness by means of modifying brain plasticity. To this end we use training and non-invasive brain stimulation to enhance residual functions. We offer a cooperative and productive working environment and provide support for continued education, participation in international conferences and research cooperation with national and international collaborators.
You have a PhD or equivalent in Psychology/ (cognitive) neuroscience or related field are able to teach in German and supervise doctoral degree in psychology, cognitive neuroscience or related field; you have prior publication experience, are able to work independently, and have a burning desire to succeed.
