The Department of Psychology in the College of Social Sciences, Mathematics and Education at The University of Tampa invites applications for a tenure-track position in Developmental Psychology at the rank of Assistant Professor starting in August 2019.
Candidates will have interest in and/or experience teaching courses in child development (a service-learning course), introductory research methods and statistics, and general psychology. Candidates may also have the opportunity to teach and/or develop other courses in their specialty. Teaching responsibilities include three, 4-hour courses each semester, though a one-course offload can be taken before applying for tenure. Other responsibilities will include maintaining an active record of scholarship, standard student advising, and committee service. Preference will be given to candidates with interest in and/or experience with mentoring undergraduate research. The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology. College or university teaching experience and demonstrated scholarly activity in the field are preferred.
