MSU University Health Partners is seeking a generalist psychologist, counselor, or social worker to provide multiculturally competent mental health services with a specific area of interest and skill set in the provision of behavioral health services in UHP Medical Services (a primary care setting). The successful candidate will work primarily in Medical Services in collaboration with medical and counseling providers.
Provision of multi-culturally competent psychotherapy, risk assessment, short-term counseling, and crisis intervention services (including after-hours on-call).
Provides integrated mental health services within Medical Services.
Coordinates with Medical Services psychiatric provider(s) to review and enhance procedures and standards for behavioral health services within Medical Services.
Serves as a direct behavioral health service provider using appropriate techniques and modalities (such as brief behavioral and CBTinterventions) as well as coordination and referral to different levels of care.
Participates in weekly clinical team meetings with Medical Services and CPS staff.
Provides consultation and training to MS staff with regard to behavioral health.
Coordinates universal depression screening protocol at MS and follows up with clients as needed.
Ongoing coordination and collaboration with the Care Manager at UHP Counseling and Psychological Services.
Outreach to the campus community.
Doctorate in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an APA accredited program and completion of APA accredited internship OR Master’s Degree in mental health counseling, social work, clinical or counseling psychology from an accredited program.
Licensed as a psychologist, LCPC, or LCSW in the State of Montana within 2 years of hire.
Clinical experience working with adults.
Clinical experience with crisis intervention.
Demonstrated competency with multicultural and other diverse populations.
