Family Access to Integrated Recovery (FAIR) is looking for a Full Time, Salaried Behavioral Health Consultant.
The role of the Behavioral Health Consultant is to promote best practices in meeting the needs of children and families served in child protective services through delivery of services that are strength-based, and family centered. The Behavioral Health Consultant will provide on-site consultation according to the Caplan(ian) Model to HCJFS staff on individual cases and programs, with expertise in trauma, families, and behavioral health needs. Recognition, appreciation, and acclimation into the HCJFS system culture. Confer with FAIR and Child Protection Staff regarding reviews and evaluations of medical records, legal documents and requests for proposals. Liaison with HCJFS’ Multi-System’s Director as an administrative resource. Provide consultation and resources for staff experiencing secondary trauma. Advocate for necessary services on behalf of children and families.
Minimum Qualifications Required
Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or other mental health related field and Ohio eligibility for independent licensure. Child welfare experience or demonstrated knowledge of the child welfare system. Experience in working with persons with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. Must have an expertise in trauma and family centered approaches.
