Supports National Defense of the United States. Specific duties include psychological interviewing, testing and evaluating, and may provide referrals for employee assistance as needed; collects data about individuals through the use of interview, case history, and observational techniques; facilitates and interprets psychological tests; assesses individuals' intelligence, aptitudes, abilities, and interests; evaluates data to determine individuals suitability/reliability for high risk duties; may engage in collaborative research to develop and improve diagnostic techniques. Interacts on a dynamic team to advise senior staff.
This position requires demonstrated ability to diagnose mental and emotional disorders, study medical and social case histories, observe employees in work situations and select, administer and interpret psychological tests to evaluate suitability/reliability of employees to work on high risk and/or top secret projects.
