The Teixeira’s Laboratory at the Emotional Brain Institute (EBI) in the Nathan Kline Institute for Psychiatric Research (NY), is seeking a highly self-motivated and creative postdoctoral fellow/research scientist. Research interest in the Teixeira lab centers on how environmental manipulations during the perinatal period affect circuitry development and behavior in rodents, with a focus on serotonergic and dopaminergic circuits.
The successful candidates should have at least one first-authored paper. Prior experience with transgenic mouse models, stereotaxic surgeries, optogenetics and rodent behavior is preferred. Expertise with patch clamp and molecular biology (e.g. creating viral vectors) is advantageous. Salary will commensurate with experience.
