The Director, Behavioral Health and Critical Care will provide leadership and be accountable for achieving clinical excellence, profitable growth and regulatory compliance of all inpatient behavioral health services as well as the critical care services. This key leader will be a seasoned nursing leader experienced in ensuring quality, evidence-based care is consistently provided to all the behavioral health and critical care patients at Northwest Hospital. He/she will determine clinical and administrative nursing goals and act as a role model to develop and retain the next generation of nursing leaders. As a member of the nursing executive leadership team, the Director will participate in efficient and effective management of the Behavioral Health and Critical Care departments and the development of their strategic plans.
A Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing or related field is strongly preferred.
A minimum of seven to ten years of progressive nursing management experience in an acute care environment.
Strong behavioral health and/or critical care background in an acute-care setting.
Ability to work autonomously and has the confidence to make decisions to enhance the behavioral health and critical care programs.
Demonstrated ability to lead people through change processes and to execute on an organizational strategic plan. Ability to develop and implement long- and short-range goals and plans.
