Vista Adolescent Treatment Centers is looking for a Therapist. Vista RTC provides professional and clinical treatment to adolescent girls 13-18 years of age in a flexible and supportive therapeutic environment. You will work daily with a team comprised of recreational and clinical therapists, line staff, psychiatric nursing staff, and educators to determine how to contribute in the overall treatment of particular clients based on their individual needs and diagnoses.
Perform individual counseling sessions with clients and their families.
Maintain client confidentiality according to professional legal and ethical standards.
Facilitate psychoeducational and processing groups.
Enforce rules and guidelines within daily programming.
Provide ongoing safety measures to ensure a safe environment for clients.
Conduct biopsychosocial assessments with clients entering the program.
Keep ongoing progress notes.
Perform in-service training.
Ensure the follow-through of treatment-specific goals and expectations.
Attend assigned committee, staff, and treatment team meetings. Other duties as assigned by the Clinical Director.
Maintain identified standards for quality improvement as identified by organization leaders.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be licensed through the State of Utah Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing as a Clinical Social Worker or Associate Clinical Mental Health Counselor.
Exhibits knowledge of 12-Step and other recovery interventions for the treatment of dual diagnosis.
Demonstrate knowledge of clinical diagnoses in adolescents and treatments associated with those diagnoses.
Demonstrate knowledge of reporting laws in physical abuse and neglect and sexual abuse cases.
Effectively assess potentially unsafe situations that may pose a risk to clients and/or staff and subsequently identify and take appropriate action.
Must meet minimum continuing education standards mandated through professional discipline.
Display good ongoing legal, moral, and ethical judgment and conduct.
Must be cleared through background check process through the State of Utah Department of Human Services.
Must hold valid Utah driver’s license.

Therapist carry a small caseloads of 8-10 clients each, an impressive ratio when compared to the larger individual caseloads generally available at other programs.
