The Therapist provides counseling services, as an important part of the Ellis County Children’s Advocacy Center (ECCAC) and an interagency multi-disciplinary team (MDT), to children and adults who have been impacted by abuse and trauma.
Master’s Degree in mental health-related field from an accredited university
LPC or LCSW, current and in good standing with State licensing board
3 years professional counseling experience working with abused children and adolescents
Individual, play, family, and group therapy experience
Experience with court testimony preferred
Prior work with CPS, law enforcement agencies, and district attorneys’ offices preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Reads, writes, and speaks English fluently
Bilingual, English and Spanish, preferred

The ECCAC responds to reports of child abuse and child sexual assault through a multi-disciplinary approach and provides family advocacy, forensic interviews, and mental health services for children and their families.
