Pine Rest is now searching for a dynamic Psychiatric Nursing leader to join our Executive leadership team in the transformative role of Chief Nurse Executive, working out of our psychiatric hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The Chief Nurse Executive (CNE) is responsible for Hospital-Based and Outpatient nursing practice within the larger Pine Rest organization. The CNE acts as the primary Pine Rest representative to organizational constituencies, health care institutions, governmental agencies, regulatory agencies, the West Michigan community, and other external publics as necessary. The leader in this role serves as a member of the Organization’s senior leadership team, attending executive level functions and board meetings as necessary. The CNE provides clinical and administrative leadership for planning, organizing, directing, monitoring and evaluating safe high quality patient care to advance clinical practice and patient care consistent with the ANA/APNA Scope and Standards of Practice, American Nurses Credentialing Center Standards, and support the advancement of nursing practice at Pine Rest CMHS through consultation, collaboration and supervision when indicated.
The well suited candidate for this role will have a current nursing license to practice in the State of Michigan, or ability to obtain quickly, a Masters Degree in Nursing, Business, or Management, as well as a history of progressive and successful nursing services management in a behavioral healthcare setting. Minimum of five (5) years executive/director level leadership experience in patient care in an acute psychiatric inpatient setting is required.
