Inpatient Child &Adolescent Psychiatrist, Assistant or Associate
The Dell Medical School (DMS) Department of Psychiatry, in conjunction with the Seton Healthcare Family, is seeking a board certified/board eligible Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our Inpatient Clinical Faculty Psychiatry team in Austin, Texas. We seek physicians who will help our partnership and department achieve our goal of working with our community partners to develop clinical, educational and research initiatives that revolutionize how people get and stay mentally healthy in Central Texas and beyond.

What you will Do
We seek candidates committed to providing exemplary care and treatment by providing clinical leadership to an inpatient pediatric psychiatry team at Dell Children’s Medical Center. Primary responsibilities will include providing world-class medicine and clinical expertise to evaluate and treat children and adolescents with a broad spectrum of mental health challenges.
The successful candidate’s appointment within the Department of Psychiatry at Dell Medical School requires regular participation in educational activities with medical students and residents. In addition, the physician will have the opportunity for collaborations that allow for the pursuit of innovative clinical programming and research initiatives.
BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA)
Valid Unrestricted Medical License issued by the Texas Medical Board (TBA) or obtained within 3 months (90days) of hire date
Current DEA certification
Board eligibility in child & adolescent psychiatry; board certification is required within three years of achieving initial eligibility.
Educational/teaching experience, leadership experience, inpatient psychiatry, pediatric CL experience, and skill and expertise working with inter-disciplinary teams is highly preferred
Experience working with medically complex children and adolescents, including eating disorders, neuropsychiatry, and neurodevelopmental disorders is highly preferred
