Function: Provide intake assessments to adults and children with chronic mental illness. Serves as a member of an organization that welcomes, engages, and serves individuals with complex wellness needs.
Responsibilities:
Provide intake assessments on a walk in basis to adults and children with chronic mental illness.
Provide liaison with other community resources to help the client access supportive services during the transition to enrolled status.
Provide crisis intervention to new clients
Maintain clinical records and provide data and reports, as may be required for program monitoring and evaluation, in accordance with policies and procedures.
Coordinate activities with other team members and other staff.
Ensure that ethical and professional standards of practice are maintained.
Participate in meetings and activities as required.
In addition to the above, perform other duties as assigned.
Competencies:
Ability to complete paperwork within required timeframes, meets content requirements, grammatically correct, and engages client participation in treatment planning and tx plans are signed by the client.
Demonstrated ability to properly assess and diagnose clientele
Demonstrated ability to administer the DLA-20
Demonstrates flexibility in practice, develops strong relationships with other employees, and provides good team communication and engages family members and natural supports in treatment planning.

Demonstrates ethical decision-making skills and appropriate boundaries.

Promote whole health care as a key to people’s recovery and quality of life.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in social or behavioral sciences or equivalent experience and education. Meet criteria to maintain Mental Health Professional status.
Demonstrated ability to work with mentally ill individuals in the community.
WA State credential
Skilled in MS Word and Outlook.
Strong analytical, interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills.
Experience in conducting clinical interviews and providing mental status examinations.
Demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritize deadlines, work independently, take initiative, and maintain confidentiality.
Valid Washington State driver’s license; proof of insurance.
Equipment/Machines Used: Basic office equipment to include, computer, fax, scanner, printer, tablet, copier and telephone.
Physical Requirements: Physical ability to be stationary and traverse in an office environment. Physical mobility to travel within the community. Occasional moving items up to 25 lbs.
Working Conditions: Usual office conditions, computer use, and outside interactions.
Environmental Conditions: Office environment; outside weather while working in the community.
