Denver Health is recruiting a Psychiatrist to join our ACUTE Center for Eating Disorders team.
The ACUTE Center for Eating Disorders is the first and only medical inpatient eating disorder treatment program in the country. Located on a dedicated medical unit at Denver Health, ACUTE patients benefit from the extensive support of a major medical hospital while receiving care from a team of experienced professionals.The ACUTE Center for Eating Disorders is proud to be honored by Anthem Health as a Center of Excellence for Medical Treatment of Severe and Extreme Eating Disorders. ACUTE is the first medical unit ever to achieve this designation in the field of eating disorders. It comes after a rigorous review process. Denver Health is a nationally recognized model for integration of a safety-net acute-care hospital, a network of community health centers, a city and county public health department, and a regional poison center. Additionally, Denver Health is the major academic affiliate of the University Of Colorado School of Medicine.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
1. Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles, procedures and techniques. 2. Thorough knowledge of pharmacological agents used in patient treatment. 3. Able to effectively manage and direct medical staff support activities while providing quality medical care. 4. Able to receive detailed information through oral communications; express or exchange ideas by verbal communications. 5. Excellent written and verbal communications, listening, and social skills. 6. Able to interact effectively with people of varied educational, socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds, skill levels and value systems. 7. Performs in a tactful and professional manner. 8. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. 9. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Doctorate Degree (Required) 1. Graduation from an Accredited Medical School and completed Accredited Residency Programs and fellowships for specialist, or equivalent. 2. Board Certified.
• Physician (Required) 1. Medical license to practice in State of Colorado. 1. Medical license to practice in State of Colorado.
