Psychotherapist position in a 10 bed adolescent residential treatment program. This program is currently a substance use disorder program that is in process of converting to a dual diagnosis program. Therapists are part of a multi-disciplinary team including LADCs, psythotherapists, RNs, psychiatric associates, student interns, Nurse Practioner, and MD.
This position works 10 months out of the year with 2 months off during the summer.
This position offers a $2500 Sign On Bonus.
Responsibilities/Job Description
Facilitates MICD group therapy and group activities, as well as milieu managment for teens in the residential program.Conducts multi-axial diagnostic assessment, determines clinical interventions, facilitates therapy and provides education for patients and their families. Facilitates treatment planning and manages each case. Responsible for development of transition/discharge plan. Communicates effectively and respectfully with others, including interdisciplinary team and all other contacts. Functions as an interdisciplinary team member. Accepts supervision and consultation with alicensed supervisor for the functions of this positionin their clinical practice.
Demonstrates clinical competence in the treatment planning process.
Facilitates treatment planning and oversee management of each case.
Coordinates/facilitates the development of treatment plan by collaborating with patient, family and interdisciplinary team.
Develops an individualized plan based on age, social and cultural considerations, clinical diagnosis, level of functioning and other relevant needs.
Implements, reassesses and adjust treatment plan as necessary.
Demonstrates clinical competence to assess individual patient needs.
Completes an interdisciplinary assessment tool with each patient.
Updates interdisciplinary assessments tool each week.
Demonstrates clinical competence in disposition planning.
Interfaces with government agencies such as court, ombudsmen, county services
Completes referral process for next level of care
Communicates to other providers in the community
Sets up intake appointments
Completes needed paperwork to facilitate this process i.e. applications, letters of recommendation, etc
Demonstrates clinical competency to partner with multi-disciplinary team in the treatment planning process.

Develops discharge plan based on age, social and cultural considerations, clinical diagnosis and level of functioning and other relevant needs.

Demonstrates clinical competence in conducting group therapy, family therapy and psycho-education groups.
Provides individual, couples and family therapy.

Required Qualifications
MA/MS/MSW in Social Services related fieldand in process of obtaining licensure
LADC licensure
30 hours of adolescent development instruction
150 or more supervised hours in adolescent treatment program
12 hours of co-occurring training
