Child and Adolescent unit that serve patients between the ages of 4-18
Psych Associates and RNs report to a Nurse Manager.
7ITC (Intensive Treatment Center) is a 13 bed unit for acutely ill patients who need a smaller, quieter environment. All of the rooms are single rooms. We offer programming similar to 7A and provide shorter groups to help manage the shorter attention spans. We provide care to many children with autism and ASD. This can be an intense unit with patients who are impulsive and aggressive. We have staff who are passionate about providing structure and their strength is redirecting negative behaviors. Often staff will be seen playing soccer in the hall with the patients.
We also have a strong Unit Council which is led by frontline staff. We currently are working on decreasing restraint use in the ITC . We have a lot of creative energy on our unit andlook for new ways to create better programming that is individualized to the specific needs of our patients.
