All Psych Associates and RNs report to a nurse manager
The float pool consists ofapproximately 30 RNs and 60 Psych Associates
The float pool serves a wide spectrum of patients within the Behavioral Health department including child/adolescents, adults, and seniors
About this position:
This position will be working 64 hours, every two weeks on the evening shift
Working 8 hour shifts, and working every other weekend
This position is benefit eligible
Responsibilities/Job Description
The Psych Associate is responsible for the delivery of patient care, and promotion of a therapeutic environment as delegated by and under the supervision of the RN so that the goals and objectives of treatment are achieved on each unit as assigned.
Physical Demands:Sitting, standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs, push/pull, stooping/crouching, finger dexterity, speaking,hearing and visual.
Mental Demands:Frequent people contact, irregular work schedule, detailed work, frequent interruptions, decisions making skills, concentration, ability to work independently, multitasking, organizations skills, working with others.
Physical Environment:Noise, infectious disease, moving machinery, fumes/gases, human tissue/fluids, radiation, telephone usage, chemicals, biohazard material and work inside.
